A rare case of post-ictal diffuse alveolar hemorrhage due to seizures

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage is persistent or recurrent pulmonary that occurs due to a variety of causes. Here, we present the case 15-year-old male child who presented with chief complaints involuntary jerking movements entire body in morning followed by coughing out massive amount blood. At presentation, patient’s blood glucose level was high. Bronchoscopy revealed bleeding middle and lower lobes both lungs. Computed tomography (CT) brain suggestive cerebral edema CT chest diffuse opacities bilateral lung fields. The patient started on corticosteroids, antiplatelet drugs, antiepileptics, insulin, oxygen inhalation which helped recover discharged week’s time.
